PTC Announcements

Box Tops Contest – we are having a contest for the student and class that turns in the most box tops. Box tops used for tickets to the Fall Harvest Festival and Spooktacular are counted towards the contest as well. Collection sheets for box tops were sent home the week of September 8. Additional box tops sheets are available in the office. The contest will be running for the entire year and we will announce the prizes shortly for the winning student and class. Please make sure your box tops are either taped or glued onto the collection sheets the PTC is providing for this purpose or in an envelope or bag with the student’s full name and room number clearly marked so your child and class get credit.
The PTC is sponsoring a contest to design the cover of our yearbook. More details will be coming soon. The child whose design is chosen to be on the cover of the yearbook will win a copy of the yearbook. All entries submitted will appear either on the back cover of the yearbook or within the pages of the yearbook, so every child’s picture will be somewhere in the yearbook depending on the number of entries received. We are also in the process of creating a secure photo bucket for parents to post pictures of Milani events to be used in the yearbook. Your contributions will help make this a great yearbook. Yearbooks are on sale in the office and during various times to be determined at a PTC table in front of the school. Yearbook prices will be$18 per book until Christmas break, then the price will increase to $20. We have to give the company a firm number we will be ordering so you must pre-order your yearbook. We are also looking for parents to help with the yearbook.
PTC is sponsoring a Class Ambassadors program. We are looking for at least one parent per room to act as a liason with the teacher and the PTC. Class Ambassadors will also have the opportunity to design their classes’ yearbook page. You will receive support and assistance from the PTC board and we will have special times set up for technological assistance with the yearbook pages. Class Ambassadors will also help distribute information at the classroom level and assist with the collection and counting of the box tops program for each class. A notice will be sent home next week with information and a sign up slip for the Class Ambassador program.

Poster boards completed. Fliers under construction. $5 includes hotdog, chips, water and raffle ticket. Print tickets for presale.

  • 9/10 – PTC meeting at 6:30, Teachers’ Lounge
  • 9/18 – Fund Raiser at Rubio’s (must bring flyer)
  • 9/26 – Movie Night (The Lego Movie), 6 to 8 pm



  • 10/17 or 10/18 – Harvest Festival (possible hay maze), possibly have the students dress up…still under discussion. Teachers or representative to man a booth in order to raise money for their grade.
