Parents throughout California have submitted thousands of objection letters to the possible release of this very sensitive data. While the judge reiterated that these notices are not a parental opt-out, the large number of objections the court has already received did indicate a high level of concern from the public. Traffic Safety - seguridad vial
Newark Police Department will cite drivers whenever necessary to encourage compliance of traffic laws and to reinforce that safety of our children is a priority.
There have been multiple incidents endangering children even a child being struck and several near misses. Please remember that children’s cognitive abilities are still developing and they lack training and experience in traffic safety.

Putting our children at risk is not worth the few minutes you may save by rushing and breaking these suggestions. Newark Unified School District and the Newark Police Department want to keep everyone safe.

Newark Unified School District would like to take this opportunity to provide some information about measles and how to protect our community.
Child Care for Newark Families
We have different options for parents to enroll their children; from kindergarten to 6th grade, from prepaid drop off (twice monthly maximum) to 6, 12, 20, and 30 hours weekly with 1 hour in the morning. We also have alternative payment program referral contact information from 4C’s, Child Care Links, and Child, Family and Community Services.
We have safe classrooms offering your children the opportunity to do their home work, play, and socialize with other friends, eat healthy snacks, and be relaxed after a long day of school.
We are always looking for more families to serve in our Newark Community! Please see the flier for more information:

Characters of Education
Every month Milani highlights a positive character trait we value in our students. These Characters of Education emphasize that Milani Elementary is a Caring School Community!
In order to secure our campus, all entry and exit for students and adults must take place through the gate near the cafeteria in the morning. Please help us make Milani a safer place for our students.
